Jumping at the Louvre Abu Dhabi

This year, we spent Christmas in the UAE. We decided to explore our new country a bit and booked a few days in Abu Dhabi, at the St. Regis on the Corniche. The weather at this time of year is mild and pleasant, perfect for exploring.

We spent an afternoon at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. I love Jean Nouvel's architecture for the museum, especially the way the dome creates a "rain of light" underneath it.

Inside the museum, I was awestruck by the statue of Gudea, prince of Lagash, a masterpiece of ancient Mesopotamian art from about 2120 BCE.
