After Monaco, we spent a week in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (04, as we call it) to catch up with the family in Forcalquier. We were there for Bastille Day on July 14th and its fireworks.
It was very hot that week, but nothing that could stop me from jumping! This time in front of the Chapelle Saint-Jean, a Romanesque church built in the 12th and 13th centuries.

Legend says it once stood at the heart of a neighborhood emptied by the Black Death in 1348. The parish was dissolved in 1415, and the building was later used by the Blue Penitents before being deconsecrated in 1937.
