A few hours after jumping in the desert, we reached Petra.
It was a bank holiday that day, and the site was really packed with both tourists and locals. But arriving at Al-Khazneh ("The Treasury") temple was breathtaking nonetheless.
The treasury was carved out of a sandstone rock face by the Nabatean in the 1st century AD. The structure is believed to have been the mausoleum of the Nabatean King Aretas IV. Despite the heavily touristic and money-making attractions around, this place is truly a World Wonder and a must-see for anybody.
